​I'm extremely passionate about PDA and in supporting its developing recognition and understanding across the globe.

I first came across "Its like Autism but.", (PDA), over twenty years ago while in education. Since then I have worked with many individuals, their families and professionals.

​

PDA stands for Pathological Demand Avoidance/Persistent or Pervasive Drive for Autonomy.

 

A regular conference speaker and trainer on PDA, I've been delivering training looking at various aspects of PDA for over twelve years.

I have been lucky to present across this country, and the globe, talking about PDA at schools, universities and at many major conference events. This year I'm honoured to be speaking at my fifth global PDA Summit via The PDA Space, and I've presented at The Autism Shows 2024, in Manchester, Birmingham and London on PDA

I offer a range of range of workshops and talks looking at education and home. (See my training page). I advise and consult with families and individuals. I also run a support groups for families and I'm very active upon social media. I have also had several articles published, and have supported in the advising and development of County policy.​

​

I also volunteer for the PDA Society, have taken part in some of their recordings and acted as part of the secretariat during the production of the Safer PDA Booklets. 

​

I also help to run a support group for PDAers and their families, PDA Together alongside Kyra Chambers from the prism cat: reflections on neurodiversity.
